A Typical Pre-Season Day

8 am -12 pm

 

Lectures by staff and guest lecturers to fit into one of the four elements that make-up a farming system.
I: Soils, II: Plants, III: Animals, IV: The Farmer.

12 – 2 pm

Lunch and free time

2 – 5 pm

Schedule may include:

Hands-on Workshop

Cooperative Instruction

Project Time

Life Skills

 

Reading Seminar

Evening Meal

 

Students cooperate in sharing the evening meal preparation on a rotating basis.

 

A Typical Mid-Season Day

7 – 8 am

 

Garden chores and morning meeting (earlier start time during summer months)

8 – 12 pm

 

Work in the gardens attending to the seasonal production needs.

 

12 – 2 pm

 

Lunch and free time

2 – 5:30 pm
