Fields Best stores and farm
In 2005 the Michael Fields Agricultural Institute opened our Fields Best store at the Milwaukee Public Market. We also opened the Fields Best store in East Troy, Wisconsin. We work with farmers to source local and organic produce for the two stores.
Come visit! Our East Troy Store is located adjacent to the Michael Fields Agricultural Institute on Main Street and Country Road ES. Our store in the Milwaukee Public Market is in Milwaukee's history Third Ward District, 400 N. Water Street.

Big changes at Fields Best, East Troy
With the flurry of activity in accelerating local food systems, one
overarching reality is that the big-box grocery stores have changed the
game. Natural, organic food offerings are abundant at cheap prices. At
our Fields Best store in East Troy, Wisconsin, we offer a variety of
local food products, but we have found that we cannot compete in the
high volume/cheap price game. To continue to provide healthy,
sustainable choices, we will move to a new co-operative model as an
alternative to conventional retail.
